Setup for In-App Booking of Personal Training and Consultations

Please note: This feature is currently only available for clubs using the custom club-branded mobile app.

The following setup should be completed each trainer when enabling an in-app bookable coaching session. Please use the steps below to complete your setup:

  1. Event Setup (PT Consultations & PT Training Sessions): This will allow you to define which events are bookable in the app and which trainers will have available sessions or consultations.
  2. Trainer Profile Setup: This will allow your trainers to set up their bio so that members can view it when booking personal training or a consultation.

Orientation Events

To set up Orientation events that will display as bookable in the app do the following:

  1. Create an event type to represent orientation events
  2. In the event type settings, select Member Visible = true and Integration Event Type = Orientation
  3. Create series and recurring events for the trainers regularly holding orientation events. Events must exist on the calendar to be bookable in the app.

Personal Training Events

To set up Personal Training events that will display as bookable in the app do the following:

  1. Create an event type to represent Personal Training events
  2. In the event type settings, select Member Visible = true and Integration Event Type = Personal Training
  3. Create series and recurring events for the trainers regularly holding personal training events. Events must exist on the calendar to be bookable in the app.

Trainer Profile Setup

A trainer can set up their profile by going to the 'Training' feature on the ASF desktop and selecting Settings > General. Currently, only trainers can set up these settings for themselves.

The following can be configured on a trainer-by-trainer basis:

  1. Avatar / Profile Picture
  2. Areas of Expertise
  3. Trainer Bio
  4. Display in the mobile app for Personal Training Sessions
    1. When enabled, the trainer will appear in the list of eligible trainers when booking PT sessions.
    2. When disabled, the trainer will not display on the list of eligible trainers. To quickly hide PT sessions (in the event of a vacation), the trainer can cancel events or use this toggle to prevent new bookings.
  5. Display in the mobile app for Consultations
    1. When enabled, the trainer will appear in the list of eligible trainers when booking consultation events.
    2. When disabled, the trainer will not display on the list of eligible trainers. To quickly hide consultations (in the event of a vacation), the trainer can cancel events or use this toggle to prevent new bookings.
